Not
to suggest that the release of LSD
into public black
markets was intentional, but there are certainly many questions as to
how the drug leaked out, as well as the complex 'recipes' which allowed
drug dealers to create the drug for their own distribution.
The
'Summer of Love' of 1967 on our West Coast would perhaps have had a
more drastic impact on American culture if not for the regrettable fact
that LSD was a primary fuel source of those young persons who made up
the contingent of 'hippies', a demographic group that was apparently
more competent and effective prior to the easy access to hallucinogenic
substances.
The effects of even a few experiences with LSD or
other
powerful synthetics can impair an individual's ability to be supremely
productive
as an activist within society on any consistent basis.
